The Story

Profound House is the home of Chelsea Bratches’ spirit-led work. Chelsea is a verbal trance channel, energy healer, and Somatic Channeling practitioner.

Before Profound House, her career spanned apparel, interiors, and design—fields rooted in aesthetics, form, and material life. Spirituality was not her language. In fact, she was deeply skeptical—a firm non-believer in energy work, channeling, and mysticism.

During a prolonged dark night of the soul marked by nervous system collapse, depersonalization-derealization, existential depression, business failure, and grief, she turned to alternative healing after conventional treatments proved ineffective.

Her sister, a lifelong mystic, had been practicing a healing modality called Somatic Channeling. She didn’t believe in it, yet she was desperate enough to try. The results were undeniable: almost immediately her symptoms eased and her body began to stabilize.

Then came a moment that reframed everything.

One afternoon, she felt strangely compelled to retrieve a discarded book from a sidewalk pile—The Book of Light by Alexandra Solnado. Using its oracle-style process, she landed on a passage titled “Profound House.” The message described an inner dwelling long abandoned—dark, overgrown, neglected—and urged the reader to tend to it. To go to their “winter garden.” To clear the centuries of abandonment. To replant. To restore. “And you will become enlightened.”

The metaphor was unmistakable.

Her dark night and chronic nervous system dysregulation made it clear that inwardly, her “house” had been untended for years—buried under complex trauma, chronic stress, repression, and relentless practicality—always pushing forward with the logical mind. She had long resisted slowing down. “I don’t have time for this,” she thought. Focusing on healing felt ungrounded and inconvenient.

But as she began clearing years of repressed stress and trauma through Somatic Channeling, something shifted. The existential despair that had defined her inner world was gradually replaced by a felt connection to a spiritual presence that she couldn’t quite name. Eventually, the spiritual gift of verbal channeling awakened—and she had an encounter with Jesus—just as the book’s passage described.

Becoming a verbal channel made the call to “tend to the home and garden” grow louder.

It became clear that the invitation was not just to heal, but to serve. She finally found the courage to answer the call, despite how impractical and inconvenient it felt to her rational mind.  She stepped away from New York to give the work space—“clearing the winter garden,” integrating the awakening, and learning how to live it without abandoning who she had been.

Yet awakening alone did not resolve everything—the journey toward integration is continuously evolving. She navigated profound challenges in identity shifts.  In spiritual community, she felt pressure to abandon her love of design, beauty, ambition, and material life, as if depth required renunciation. She struggled to find her place in a culture that seemed, from the surface, misaligned with her self-view.

Profound House emerged from resolving that false divide.

Chelsea learned firsthand that spirituality doesn’t require compartmentalization—if anything, it demands integration. She also learned that mystical experiences and esoteric insights can activate expansion, but the real work of spiritual growth is grounding higher truths into lived, daily action: embodying inner truths while remaining fully engaged with the outer world.

Today, her work bridges worlds—between belief systems, between the material and the spiritual, between the pragmatic and the mystical. She moves fluidly across spaces, translating depth in a way that feels accessible without diluting its power.

Because transformation is not a single moment, nor is it reserved for one framework or way of life. It is the ongoing tending of your profound house—integrating what is revealed inwardly into how we live outwardly.

PROFOUND HOUSE

“I read your thoughts. I know that far more often than not you are unhappy, tormented by the notion that each person should value his or her essence and that you do not have the time to do this. Rarely can you find time for yourself and when you do, seldom are you able to take advantage of this.

There are too many expectations and too much anxiety and guilt.

“I should be doing something else. There are so many important things to do. . .” you think to yourself in anguish. You fail to understand that your essence regards the short time you have for yourself as precious.

It is time to go to your Winter garden, flick through all the emotional information that is there and feel it, feel it, feel it.

And since you are unable to carry out this process of spending time with yourself, life comes along and pushes you into a bottomless pit where only solitude and darkness lie.

I know. I also read this in your thoughts.

Well, the only thing that I can say to you at this point is: begin to clean up that pit. Begin to dust down this area.

That is your deepest dwelling, it is your trademark, and it is your day time abode.

Is it dark? Yes.
Is it dirty? Yes.
Centuries and centuries of abandonment. The trees are desiccated and the vegetable garden has died.
You will have to replant everything.
You will have to prune, water, fertilize and love.
You will have to cleanse everything with your pain.
It will move you, you will feel emotions. You will become aware of who you are. And I promise you that you will see yourself again.
You will breathe life into your own foundation. You will use your own bread to nourish yourself.
You will elucidate and transcend yourself.
You will become enlightened.
And when all of this work is complete, when all the ghosts have been removed, you will know that you have succeeded.
You will look up and let out a cry of gratitude which will echo through space.
And you will see me.
And you will feel me.
And you will know just how much I love you.
And you will have a precise notion of just how great communion is.
And you will know you are healed.
